What is Management or what is the difference between an Unmanaged and Managed server?

0

All servers are provided to customers Unmanaged unless the customer has specifically requested and paid for Management. Unmanaged servers are delivered to the customer with minimal provisioning and configuration. It is the customer’s responsibility to configure the server and to maintain it. Server Management is a set of additional services that we offer for an additional fee for customers who do not wish to configure and maintain their server(s). It is added on a per server basis for an additional monthly and setup cost (see the Server Management Adds section on the Plans page for details). Customers that are not proficient system administrators or do not have access to a system administrator should definitely choose to have their server(s) managed. If you are unsure after reading this and reviewing what Server Management includes you probably should choose managed.
