What is management consultancy; how do I get in?
This has become a very popular and highly competitive area and we have many enquiries. The largest consulting area (about half) is IT consultancy where the emphasis is on using technology to increase the efficiency of organisations. These firms employ graduates from any degree discipline. The second largest area (about 10%), is Strategy consulting which works with organisations in designing a business strategy to increase profits and share price. Again, graduates from any discipline are recruited. Many chartered accountancy firms also offer both Business and IT consultancy.
