What is Mail Aliasing, and how do I use it?
Mail aliasing allows you to setup upto 10 email addresses which you can then send mail to quickly without having to type the whole email address again. This is useful so you can send mails quicker and also know you have the address right already. Of course your email can also be longer as you don’t have to type the address in. This service is accessed via several commands. LA this is List Aliases, a list of all your defined aliases will be sent back SA this is Set Alias, to set an alias send SA # USER*SITE.DOMAIN replacing # with your alias number 0 to 9 and USER*SITE.DOMAIN with the email address, eg: SA 1 ADMIN*LOCUST.CO.UK MA this is Mail Alias, this sends mail to one of your aliases, eg: MA 1 HELLO THERE would send “hello there” to whoever your alias 1 was set to.
