What is “Magic Circle?”
Magic Circle is our weekly problem solving and classroom community building meeting time where students are given a chance to address and solve any problems they may be having with other students in class. They are taught appropriate problem solving techniques such as using "I messages", listening skills, always being truthful and respectful, taking responsibility for mistakes, apologizing, and forgiving. If there are serious or ongoing problems between particular students, as the teacher I will always intervene. We are especially adamant about addressing the issue of bullying here at Bagby, as well as any form of physical violence. There is no tolerance for either problem here at school. Please talk with your child about this.
