What Is Mace Pepper Spray?
Pepper Spray is a non-lethal aerosol spray made with the pepper derivative oleoresin capsicum; used to cause temporary blindness and incapacitate an attacker; also used as a bear deterrent. Pepper spray is a derivative of cayenne pepper. The oils are extracted from the pepper by using a high pressure process. This process leaves you with the ingredient found in pepper spray, also known as OleoResin Capsicum. Mace Pepper Spray is used for self defense against an attacker. Mace Pepper spray is used by aiming the spray at the eyes and facial region of the attacker and then release a 1 to 2 second burst of spray. Mace Pepper spray may take a couple of moments to cause a reaction, so keep your eyes on the attacker. Contact with mucous membranes such as eyes, nose, throat, and lungs causes immediate dilation of the capillaries.
