It’s good while it lasts—but otherwise it’s just like any other amusement park.

Don’t bother. The view from there is very nice and of course you can take a pic with the big Luna Park entrance. But as an amusement park, it isn’t very good. Go to the Taronga zoo. Go by ferry (it is a nice ride with gorgeous harbour views).
