Lower amperage refers to a system or circuitry of an electrical installation that does not draw enough power. It could be an unwanted condition wherein the existing power supply could not sufficiently supply the needed current to run the appliances. This could be brought about by two conditions: 1) The power supply is so low in voltage because of low capacity, or low energy output. 2) The load in terms of gadgets and appliances has been too much such that so great a resistance lowered the current to below normal levels. When, say, your television set or refrigerator would not function because of low line voltage, then that is also to say that there exists a “lower amperage’ than what is needed.
