• Longview Power, LLC, is a limited liability company (LLC) owned by GenPower, LLC. Longview Power is trying to build a 600-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Monongalia County, West Virginia. In November 2006, Longview said it will increase the size to 695 MW. GenPower oversees the design of the plant and negotiates the permits and tax breaks. It sells this “Longview package” to another firm who will build or build and operate the plant.
