What is Long Term Care coverage?
A.Long Term Care provides financial assistance for individuals who are unable to care for themselves. They need help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting and eating. Also, they may have cognitive impairment. The cost of special care, even if provided at home, is high. Most group medical plans and HMOs don’t cover this type of care. One solution is the purchase of Long Term Care insurance. Back to list.
