LogP is the base-10 logarithm of the octanol/water partition coefficient. The partion coefficient for a chemical is defined by P = Coct/Cwater, where Coct and Cwater are equilibrium concentrations of the chemical in the upper octanol layer and lower water layer under standard conditions (25 degree celcius, atmospheric pressure).
