What is Logistics Management?
Logistics management is the business of distribution of goods. That could mean anything from the movement of cargo/freight via air, ship, and ground transport (Either by railroad or truck). Most companies that deal in this sort of trade are airlines, shipping lines at the coastal seaports, freight forwarders (Middle men like Fedex or UPS), retail especially when they have multiple retail stores outlets, catalog companies, moving companies, etc. http://www.uces.csulb.edu/citt/default.a… Basically its the planning and execution of getting goods from one point to another whether it be by truck from the east coast to the west coast or from one country to another. Timing is always an issue so routes have to be established.
