What is Logistics and Supply Chain Management?
According to the definition adopted by the Council of Logistics Management, “Logistics is that part of the supply chain process that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from point of origin to point of consumption in order to meet a customers’ requirements.” This major considers all aspects of the supply chain process in industry including transportation (trains, trucks), electronic ordering and supply fulfillment, warehousing and production requirements estimation.
