What is LLumar Sun Blocker films/Polycarbonate films?
• Question (4/24/2006): Can you provide us with a detailed suggestion for application of reflective film on polycarbonate sheets? I heard that some installers use a special film that is simply attached to border by the edges using frames rather than installing film directly on the plastic sheets as you would with standard window films. Answer: Several points need to made: 1) LLumar has launched a new film in the UK in April 2006, a translucent metallic silver vinyl film, for use on acrylic and polycarbonate overhead glazing to block heat, glare, and UV. (Of course it can be used on glass as well, subject the film-to-glass recommendations.) This product can be directly applied to the sheeting on either the inside or outside surface. We hope to make it available in the US and other international markets as soon as possible, depending on the level of interest we can discern.
