What is LLLT?
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is the new internationally accepted term for biostimulation with low energy lasers in order to achieve therapeutic desired effects. Light or photon energy with the unique property of being able to penetrate up to two inches below the skin surface causing an increase in cellular metabolism with no tissue damage whatsoever. Low level laser therapy, sometimes also referred to as cold laser therapy is quickly becoming the first line of attack in pain control and tissue healing in rehabilitative medicine. Laser treatment in which energy output is low enough so that the temperature of the treated tissue does not rise above 98.6 F (normal body temperature). Low level laser therapy is safe, painless, and non-invasive and the results are often immediate and sustainable.
