When you join, you create a profile that summarizes your professional accomplishments. Your profile helps you find and be found by former colleagues, clients, and partners. You can add more connections by inviting trusted contacts to join LinkedIn and connect to you. Your network consists of your connections, your connections’ connections, and the people they know, linking you to thousands of qualified professionals.
I must confess I didn’t know what LinkedIn was until about 4 or 5 months ago. We actually have a blog here at B5media, Business Channel, exclusively writing about LinkedIn. Scott Allen is the author of LinkedIntelligence and I would say he is an expert. So why in the world am I even attempting to touch this topic in the month of September? Well, right now, that is a secret. I will share more about my reasons for writing about LinkedIn over the next couple of days. You will have to stay tuned to get the full details.
