What is life like living in Japan?
In a lot of ways its the same as living in America since it is the second biggest economic superpower and a democracy. To imagine Tokyo, imagine New York but 90-99.9% Japanese people depending on the area, much faster subways, cleaner everything, and extremely rabid shoppers (you cannot tell at ALL that there is an economic crisis going on at the department stores; still packed with people buying useless things). There are much more resteraunts. If you are Japanese you probably work 9-5 officially and then after that you stay a few unpaid hours to finish the work your expected to do or you go out to drink with your coworkers abd boss after work. If you don’t, you probably won’t get a promotion. Some people say this is changing and people are having more free time but if so, its still much more than in most other countries.
