What is Lemaan Achai Doing to Help with the Refugees?
Answer Lema’an Achai was asked by the Beit Shemesh Municipality to head a Community Coalition to aid the refugees. This coalition now includes many other community organisations and charities, as well as most of the municipal service branches and a host of volunteers. Lema’an Achai directed the community’s aid to:- 1. Matching refugee families with local host families and supplying food & resources as needed. 2. Providing basic accommodation in the schools: mattresses, blankets, meals, bath-room facilities, showers. In addition, we have arranged numerous day-time activities for adults and children. 3. Preparing for a longer term, larger surge of refugees.
