The Air Force has disposed of 82,241 BRAC acres (94%), leaving only 5,139 acres (6%) for disposal. Approximately 0.2% of the remaining acres for disposal are properties claimed by other federal agencies that are reluctant to take control of the properties until they are environmentally compliant. The Air Force conveyed 9,235 acres in FY04 and is focused on conveying half of the remaining 5,139 acres in FY05.
