What Is Leadership Lawton-Fort Sill?
Leadership Lawton-Fort Sill is designed to develop talents and broaden perspectives of present and future community leaders. Each year a class of about 20 participants from divers ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds is exposed to issues and organizations affecting life in Lawton, Comanche County, and the State. The participate in a series of activities designed to enhance their leadership potential. The classroom is the community. The instructors are key community leaders, city and county officials, and professional experts who discuss the important issues of the day. As a result of these discussions, participants gain a familiarity with programs and resources within the area. In addition, they develop a network of important relationships that can be drawn upon as they continue to serve and improve the quality of life in the area.
