What is Leadership Agenda for Action?
In late 2008, the Coalition called for expert Task Forces to prepare a Leadership Agenda for Action, with facilitation and administrative support from the Secretariat. The purpose of this document is to increase efforts to address nutrition security and to provide Indian programme leaders with the most effective, evidence based recommendations to improve nutrition security in India. The Task Forces included experts from a diverse group of Government and civil society organisations, such as Government ministries, Government apex training institutions, the National Health Systems Resource Center, UNICEF, WHO, World Bank, USAID, DFID introduce the International Food Policy Research Institute, the Nutrition Foundation of India, CARE, and a number of other agencies.
