What is Lavasa?
Lavasa is free India’s first and largest Hill City being developed by HCC (Hindustan Construction Company). Located in the picturesque landscape of the Sahayadri Mountains, Lavasa is spread over 12,500 acres of land situated around the 20 km long Warasgaon Lake. It has been conceptualized keeping in view the Government of Maharashtra’s aim to develop the state’s tourism. In the proximity of Mumbai and Pune, Lavasa is a complete hill city that is being developed in a planned manner using Geographic Information System (GIS). Lavasa is a self contained world including apartments and villas planned around town centers using the New Urbanism transact model. The Hill City will host a complement of global leaders in hospitality, tourism, education, healthcare, business, research, leisure and industry.
