WHAT IS LARGE FORMAT PRINTING?
Large-format printing is a relatively new printing process accomplished by specialized printers. Computer files are sent directly to the printer through a RIP (raster image processor), therefore no film or plates are required. The printer makes four passes (one for each process color CMYK) over the roll-fed print media and can print images much larger than can be printed on a traditional press. And, unlike traditional printing presses, large-format printers are meant for short runs, even of as little as one print. The final application of the printed output will determine what type of large format printing you need. If you are not sure which of our large-format printers is best suited to your particular project, contact us. We will be happy to answer any of your questions.
