La Leche League International’s (LLLI) mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through education, encouragement, and mother-to-mother support and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother. LLL of MD-DE-DC is one administrative Area of LLLI and comprises approximately 30 local Groups, 100 Leaders, and hundreds of Group members. ALL Area workers volunteer their time and effort; no one gets paid to support LLL of MD-DE-DC.
