What is Kuta in Bali like?
Kuta is the most touristy spot within Bali – which isn’t to say that it isn’t good – it just depends what you are looking for. Kuta is based around Poppies I and Poppies II – through these lanes you will fins many places to shop, eat and drink. If you are going by yourself, you are likely to enjoy these places as you will probably meet many people to talk to and hang out with – it has a real party atmosphere and party culture. If you are into clubbing Paddy’s and the Bounty are the 2 main clubs in Kuta and there is also the Engine room across the road. You can go to the beach in Kuta however as it is very touristy you will have lots of sellers approach you – not neccesarily a bad thing as most are extremely friendly and if you just smile and politely say no you will often get into a conversation anyway and they will remember you every day just to say hello and see how you are going.
