What is Kuoni’s strategy for the Chinese market?
Our programme of opening new Kuoni branch offices in mainland China, which began with Beijing and Shanghai in 2005, was continued in 2006 with the opening of a third Chinese office in Guangzhou. Our long-term goal is to help further accelerate the strong growth in the Chinese market through a licence, which we are seeking, to conduct outbound operations, and thereby not only to benefit from the sizeable potential in Chinese travellers to Europe but also to apply our vast accumulated experience and know-how for the Chinese customers.
