What is Kubricks Most Under-Appreciated Film?
While Barry Lyndon and Eyes Wide Shut are both under-appreciated, I can understand why many don’t have the patience for Barry Lyndon (even though I found it one of Kubrick’s funniest films) whereas, to me, Eyes Wide Shut is on a par with the man’s greatest work. It displays his greatest use of colour of any film, and it flows with such graceful pacing. I really think it shows the director at the peak of his mastery of film.
