What is Korfball?
To watch a game of korfball is to see what look like portions of a netball, basketball, and handball game all fused into one. The sport is Dutch and, although traditionally played outdoors in the Netherlands, it is an ideal indoor sport. The primary objective is to score goals and prevent the opposition from doing likewise. Much of its appeal is that it is coeducational. Korfball players catch, throw, and run, yet it is a very safe sport, a noncontact, no-collision activity. The premium is on skill, not power, brawn, and aggression.
