What is Kiteboarding?
Kiteboarding is like wakeboarding with a big kite. The board looks like a wakeboard, and the kiter is harnessed to a large kite, utilizing the wind to jump and scream across the water. The sport has been around longer than you think. First developed by the Legaignoux Brothers in France in the early 80’s, it has just started to take hold as the next big extreme sport worldwide. Kiteboarding is a dynamic sport that allows for big jumps with soft landings. Because the rider is harnessing the power of the wind, kiteboarding requires no boat or fees. Once you have the gear, your session is free.
