What is KISS?
KISS is a rock band from the USA famous for wearing trade mark face make-up and performing amazing stage shows. The band started back in 1974 and are still going strong recording albums and touring the world. At one point in their career KISS were the largest band in America, and to this day they are one of the top 3 bands when it comes to the number of gold records obtained. 1996 saw a return to power when KISS became the largest selling live act of that year. KISS haven’t always donned the while faces, during the 80’s and early 90’s they were a completely ‘normal’ unmasked band producing albums that achieved world-wide success. In fact, KISS achieved their highest UK chart positions during this period. KISS is not anything to do with the techno radio station KISS FM, nor are they some kind of tribute to the Robbie Williams ‘Let Me Entertain You’ video (you’d be amazed at some of the E-mails I get!!).
