What is Kingston Data Traveler 2 GB?
The Kingston Data Traveler 2 GB is a portable 2-Gygabyte USB drive that supports USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface, has a light that indicates access, comes in a blister pack with a small strap that attaches to the loop in the drive. The drive’s USB port is protected by a sturdy removable cap. The drive I got has attractive and rugged beige/green case. Usage The drive is very easy to use. I did not have to install any software on my Windows 2000 Pro or my Windows XP computers. After you plug the USB drive in (I use my computers’ front ports) the drive appears in your operating system as a new drive with its own drive letter. After that, you can copy files to/from it as well as delete, etc. The drive is relatively fast. Although I have not measured the exact speed, I was able to copy 1.7 Gb of data onto this drive in a very acceptable time (under 10 minutes).
