What is kill stealing and why is it so bad?
Kill stealing is when someone else is attacking a monster and doing the majority of the damage to it and you get the last hit in, claiming the kill as your own. XP and loot in RFO is based on damage dealt, not who gets the last hit in, so people who get their kills stolen still earn their due. HOWEVER, this is NOT an excuse to KS!! KSing is bad for a number of reasons. First off, if someone is doing a quest, they DO have to get the last hit in on a monster for it to count towards their quest. Also, whoever kills the monster gets a slight XP bonus. It’s slight, but it counts. Just don’t do it, it’s bad for the game and it ticks people off. And it is a bannable offense if you do it often enough.
