What is “kibitz” on dominoes?
The Word Kibitz is a german Word. it sounds very yewish so I guess it comes from jiddish origins. It means a person that is watching other people playing a game. It is not a negative word like an voyeur. This word is only used for People who watch others playing a game. It seems to be the idea that the “Kibitz” steals ideas from others while watching. A similar word is “Stibitz” which means in jewish and german that somebody steal something. This word is usually used when somebody try to catch fast something that is not from a lot of value. For example an apple from neighbours tree. It is stealing but at lower level.
