What is KeyServer?

0

Sassafras’ KeyServer is our software application license metering package. It allows a network administrator to centrally control access to any Windows or Macintosh application running anywhere on the network. KeyServer limits launches of each application to the legal number available and can control access to a given program by any combination of criteria such as network location, time of day, name/password, etc. The KeyServer components run silently and require little or no administration; endusers can often be unaware of its presence on the network. KeyServer is extremely scalable: while there are large corporations using a single KeyServer to control thousands of users’ access to hundreds of applications on a global intranet, there are also K-12 schools using KeyServer to control access to a small number of applications shared among a handful of computers.
