His official record, as has been stated, is 50 wins, with 4 losses and 1 draw. I personally have him winning two of the fights he supposedly lost against Chris John and the Pacquiao rematch. The John fight was mediocre viewing, as John was far too inactive to have deserved the victory, even if he did expose weaknesses in Marquez’s style and made him look ordinary. I thought the first Pac/Marquez fight was indeed a draw (at least that’s how it came out the last time I scored it), but I had Marquez edging the rematch by a point, in a bout I thought was clearer than the scorecards (including my own) indicated. So, by my scorecards, he’d be 52-2-1, with his only real losses coming to Freddie Norwood and in the first fight of his career, both of which he’s improved by leaps and bounds since.
