What is Job Enrichment?
Answer Tevin, Job enrichment is just what it sounds like. It is the company’s interest in their employees. Instead of having a worker perform the same types of routine tasks or responsibilities within a limited range, they are given chances to attend seminars, get cross trained, contribute to the job and the company in other ways. Maybe the company will consider paying them for the day if they volunteer for community service. Job enrichment does not have to be “enriching a job”, it can also be “enriching the person” so they do better at their job. There are many sources for this on the Internet and your local bookstore. There is really no single way to enrich a job as it is based on your employees, workplace and what is important to the company and employees.
