What is JInitiator?

JInitiator is an Oracle implementation of Sun’s JavaSoft Plug-in for Solaris. It is used for connectivity between a Windows based client and Internet Native Banner (INB) Forms. It is not required for use with Self Service Banner (web page based). Oracle redesigned the JavaSoft code to function specifically for Oracle Applications Forms. JInitiator is only for Windows based client machines. When accessing Banner INB, if you do not have the JInitiator plug-in, you will be prompted to install it.
