What is JHED?

0

JHED is the Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory built by the Enterprise Services Group to provide information about faculty, students and staff within the Hopkins organization. One of the functions of JHED is to provide authentication services to applications. This is very helpful to users as it allows them to access multiple applications using the same logname and password. AFI uses the JHED directory for authentication, and in order to log into the AFI system, users must have a valid JHED logname and password. These lognames are easy to obtain and remember, and will simplify the login process for all AFI users.
