For 8 years, Jay belonged to Alfa Music. In 2007, he split away from Alfa to start his own production company: JVR Pte Ltd. JVR is an acronym for “J”ay Chou, “V”incent Fang (Jay’s long time lyricist), and Yang Jun “R”ong (Alfa Music president) The JVR offices in Taipei were unveiled in May 2007, which also launched the official start of operations of the new company.
