What is Japanese love? How do you distinguish it from Western love?

The Japanese love sets you free whilst the Western love makes a prisoner out of you. OK, this is my opinion based on my experiences as a Western woman. I find that the Japanese love is not materialistic ie no flowers or fancy restaurants etc. The love comes from within through gestures and actions, so in a way I find it is purer. But ‘love’ is a tricky word. The love you feel for someone when you first meet is attraction.Everything that is new is attractive, just take any game for example, at first you can’t stop playing with it and you crave for it when it is not there. After a few months you will get a different feeling whilst playing with it. The same goes for humans, that first attraction will fade. You will either get bored and thow it away or you will develop another kind of love for it and that is caring. That love will grow stronger with the years but it will never be the same feeling than your first love. My actions and ways of thinking are not questioned in details with Japan
