What is it like transitioning into married life?
Jonathan: It’s actually easier than I expected. It seems rather natural (shall I say, “anti-climactic”?). One cool thing is that my schedule hasn’t had to change too much. In the back of my mind, I was planning on allowing a bunch of extra time in the day for my commute to work. As it turns out, I’m 12 minutes and 37 seconds from work (during rush hour), so it makes very little impact on my schedule. As far as adjusting to living with Rebecca? That has mainly been a big delight. She does take a lot of time out of my schedule; wait, correction, I take a lot of time out of her schedule, er, whatever. Anyway, we enjoy each other a lot. The biggest effort has been in learning to communicate with each other. We definitely have different ways of expressing ourselves. I imagine that will continue to require effort, but I’m amazed at how it’s gotten easier even in the short time we’ve been together. I don’t want to tell everyone everything about my wife, but just one cool attribute: Rebecca do
