What is it like to work with producers such as Jermaine Dupri and Missy Elliot?
Monica: I think that you have to recognize that we all have personalities, so your challenges are gonna be different things. Like Missy, we do two or three songs a night sometimes because I know that’s how she works. With Jermaine, I know that sometimes he likes for me to be there, fill out the beat, be there for the entire process, so you just get accustomed to peoples personalities and you find the ones that you gel best with. I kept a small amount of producers on this album. WordofSouth.com: Did you write any songs on this album? Monica: Absolutely! And my form of writing is very different then other people that are talented enough to sit down and write an entire song. I write poems and a lot of the songs from the album were created from poems in my journal. WordofSouth.com: What is your favorite song on the album?
