I’m afraid Lake Como really shuts down during the winter months. Also, because Italy is a very Catholic country, most of the shop owners will be on holiday during the dates you specified. Transportation is also very limited around Christmas and New Year’s Day. Perhaps a larger city like Milan may be a better choice for you as it has better nightlife and shopping experiences.
