What is it like to be a commuter student at DC?
How do you think this experience is different from that of a student living in a college residence or dorm? Do you get something from this experience that you wouldn’t get elsewhere; that is, what defines your experience here at Douglas? And what do you think you will remember about this experience in 30 years time? I have lived in a dorm for six years, four years in elementary school and two years in middle-school. I think living in a dorm is easier to have friends that you can hang-out with. Most of my friends here at DC live in the area which is not close to where I live. So this is not very good for me because there are not many names on my contact list here in Vancouver. However, for me, not living in a dorm is not an excuse for having no friends in a new place. I will never forget the first day of orientation, I made my first group of friends through that day, so pay attention if your friends, daughter or brothers and sisters are thinking about to go to DC or any of the colleges
