What is it like teaching English in Thailand?
Working in a Thai school is much different than working in a Western school. You don’t have to be a grammar expert – although grammar knowledge doesn’t hurt. · Very little weekend work is required. Drawbacks of working in a Thai School: · Class sizes are large, typically ranging anywhere from 40 to 55 students per class. · You may be expected to be in school from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. · There can be communication gaps and errors between school and teacher.
