What is it like in Cannes from October through April?

This is our favourite time of year. Each month has a different festival, mimosa, music, dance, etc. On a sunny day you can still have lunch on the beach — but wear a dark color to soak up the sun, and layers to adjust. When it rains, it tends to be for 3 days (a mistral), then it blows through and brings with it clear blue skies that allow you to see to the snow capped mountains behind Nice during the winter months. Traffic is light, shopping is great, and the majority of restaurants are open, only some of the beach ones are closed. (Bijou, Rado, etc. are open year around, and have enclosed glass areas for dining on the beach on a windy day.) It is a great time of year with kids for hunting along the beach, fishing, play grounds, roller blading, etc. We will update www.rivierakids.com in near future to give information on what is available in nearby area.
