rigging chutes is a very critical operation and there is no room,… absolutely no room for error. If it were up to me I would make every rigger jump with everychute he packs but then wed have no chutes for the ones needing them… the life of a fellow troop is in the hands of you and your persanal pride skill expertise and knowledge used in providing him a most critical tool of his,… treat each as if your life depends upon it…. and airborne is fablous especially halo high altitude low opening so high up at night ya need oxygen for the first couple thousand feet as ya watch the earth lose its curvature and its lights and suddenly you are no longer seeing lights or the earth,… you watch your altimeter and at 500 feet you pull… the moment your chute deploys and i mean the very moment it snaps to and tugs your decent your feet hit the ground and ya never saew it coming…. no reserve cuz never have time and dont cheat like 600 or 700 cuz legs get ruined if not a life.
