Individuals represent the communities, experiences and backgrounds that are uniquely their own. We try to hone in on a few shared characteristics that we strive for all Monsanto employees to be good at, and then we reward for success in those competencies. For example, the ability to develop great relationships with internal and external audiences is extremely important, as is exhibiting a results orientation. We like to find people that have a mindset around accomplishment. The leadership team has defined the four or five things we need to do well as a company, then we have translated those into competencies and aspirations for each of us. How do you prioritize and honor what you need to get done at work and at home?
