WHAT IS ISLAAM?
The word “Islaam” means peace attained through submission ; to be at peace with yourself and your surroundings by submitting to God and obeying his commandments. This is a unique religion with a name which signifies a moral attitude and a way of life. Judaism takes its name from the tribe Juda, Christianity from Jesus Christ, Buddhism from Goutam Buddha and Hinduism from Indus River. However , those who accept Islaam and submit to God are not called “Muhammadans” after Muhammad (Peace and blessings of God be upon him) the last Prophet of God; they are called Muslims.
