What is IRS Form 1099-Q?

0

The 1099-Q form is used to report Payments From Qualified Education Programs as required Under Sections 529 and 530. The trustee / payer fills this form out, sends one copy to the IRS, and one to the recipient of the payments. This form is then included in the recipient’s tax return. There are instructions for the payee and the recipient on the form. The IRS requires a form to be mailed to the user, as the online version cannot be scanned.
