WHAT IS IRIDOLOGY or IRIS ANALYSIS?
Iridology (i-rid-doll’-o-jee) is the art and science of analyzing the color, markings, changes, and structure of the iris of the eye to gain valuable health information. The iris is that portion of the eye surrounding the pupil and giving the eye its distinctive color. It is the pigmentation of the iris that defines your eye color. The iris reveals body constitution, inherent weaknesses, levels of health, and the transition that takes place in a person’s body according to the way he lives and eats. HOW DID IT BEGIN? In the early 1800s Ignatz von Peczely, M.D. from Hungary first saw a correlation between changes in the iris and what was going on in the body when at age 11 he accidentally broke an owl’s leg, and immediately saw a black stripe rise in the owl’s eye. After the leg healed, von Peczely observed the appearance of white and crooked lines in the owl’s eye where the black stripe had originally appeared.
